Third Age Health Acquires ARC Health and Cicada Health Strengthening Commitment to Aged Residential Care Services
Third Age Health Services Limited (TAH) is pleased to announce the acquisition of two key aged care operations specialising in medical services for aged residential care. These strategic acquisitions add to TAH’s growing portfolio, expand its national footprint, and deliver a significant lift in market share.
The significant move strengthens TAH’s South Island presence, seeing them acquire an 80% share in ARC Health Limited (ARC Health). TAH has also acquired a 70% share of Cicada Health in the Bay of Plenty Region, seeing them take a solid hold of the upper North Island.
These considered acquisitions reinforce Third Age Health’s ability to provide high-quality, accessible medical care services to New Zealand’s growing ageing population in aged residential care (ARC) facilities. By broadening their reach across these important regions, it enables them to help meet the growing demand for high-quality care for older aged people.
“This is a meaningful milestone for Third Age Health as we continue to grow with purpose. By expanding our presence in both the North and South Islands, we’re better positioned to respond and deliver to the growing demand for quality medical services in aged residential care facilities,” says Tony Wai, CEO, Third Age Health.
The two newly acquired opportunities are a natural extension to Third Age Health’s ARC operations. By partnering with ARC Health and Cicada Health, this provides a strong platform to meet the evolving healthcare needs through the expertise of dedicated clinicians and allows the organisation to extend its commitment to quality care and clinical delivery.
Third Age Health remains committed to maintaining the high clinical standards already in place, with further investments planned in digital care systems, staff training, and community partnerships.
